Refund Policy

Effective September 24, 2026

Swap credit

• Swap credit is added in amounts of at least $10 and pays your Fruitonomy fees: 25¢ per swap, plus $1 per year.
• Once credit is added, it can’t be refunded or exchanged for cash, except where the law requires. That includes unused credit left on an account you close.
• Your credit doesn’t expire. It stays on your account for as long as you’d like to keep swapping.

Swap fees

• Your first 2 swaps are free.
• A swap fee is charged when both neighbors accept a swap. You can cancel a swap for free before it’s accepted.
• Once a swap is accepted, its fee isn’t returned, even if the handoff doesn’t happen.

Billing mistakes

If you were charged twice, charged the wrong amount, or paid and didn’t receive your credit, that’s our mistake, not a refund request. Email hello@fruitonomy.com within 60 days and we’ll put it right. Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank, because we can usually fix it faster.

Food between neighbors

Swaps, sales, gifts and harvests happen directly between neighbors. Fruitonomy doesn’t sell the food. If you’re unhappy with something you received, talk with that neighbor first, and leave an honest rating so others know.
